Stuck with your accounting? Here is the answer

Accounting is for accountants and what’s more infuriating is they want it to stay this way, so it’s not really suprising that individuals similar to me who own a small business and cannot and don’t want to spend money on an accountant found the shortcut I want to give to you here. Everyone who creates or manages a business has ’higher priority’ things to do with their time than spend time on their bookkeeping. All businesses have to be committed to doing their accounting if they want to avoid issues.
When I first started out my accountant advised or should I say insisted that I used a small business accounting software package sold by a company called Sage Software. I instantly went out and bought the package without even considering if it would suit my needs. This was arguably one of the biggest mistakes I made as the software turned out to be really hard to understand and use. To be honest whenever I see the word accounting next to the word software I am immediately reminded of the first piece of advice I need to share with you and that is the majority of small business accounting software assumes you have a good working knowledge of accounting.
Just like me small business people know about their craft and what they sell and not accounting but in my case I was driven to devote time to finding a solution that would work for me. The great news is I discovered a really good solution, it’s an online system called salesorder.com.
Possibly the best business technology I have discovered, salesorder.com works on the web and is thoughfully designed and of course lets me work anywhere I can access the Internet. And here is the coolest bit I want to share with you, the people at salesorder.com know their subject, just like their software they are easy to work with and better still are happy to spend substantial time with their users (even the free ones) helping people like me to solve real issues in my company and to top it off they have coached me in the accounting I need to know.
